The Guild of Photographers
As part of my plans to improve my photography skills and knowledge I recently joined the Guild of Photographers. 'The Guild of Photographers was originally established as the Guild of Wedding Photographers in 1988 and over the years has grown much wider to become an association for all individuals committed to the art of photography.'

As well as mentoring, advice, training and qualification they hold an Image of the Month competition where images can be entered and judged by an expert panel. I started entering a few images each month with some positive results.

Image of the Year 2022 and 2023
During 2022 and 2023, the image of the month competition attracted c12,000 entries each year from the most talented of photographers. It has recently been announced that from all the entries across the year, the Guild’s Judges have selected just 10 images in various genres to go forward to the annual Image of the Year Final and an image of mine is one of those selected as a Finalist!
